Hello!
Hello! My name is Barbara and I'm a native French teacher. Besides teaching, I'm also the mother of a 5-year-old boy who inspires me every day.
Since I was little, I've been passionate about discovering new cultures and learning about the world.
I decided to share this passion by teaching French, especially to Portuguese-speaking women.
My goal is to create a true community of support and learning, where we can grow together through my courses. I believe that by learning a new language, we can open doors and build new connections.
My story
I have been teaching French for 3 years, following a career change. Before that, I worked for about fifteen years in the childcare sector, working as a nanny and in daycare centers.
I loved my job, but I always had another project in mind.
Becoming a mother was a turning point in my life.
The idea of teaching French had been in my mind ever since I volunteered at an association that welcomed newly arrived women. The project matured over time, until I decided to get a teaching degree in 2022.
Since then, I have worked in different schools and associations, teaching professional French.
Today, I've returned to what I love most: teaching French to Portuguese-speaking women. But why focus on Portuguese-speaking women? Because I learned Portuguese at university in 2008, where I obtained my Bachelor of Arts in Letters (LLCE) with a specialization in Portuguese.
I've always had a great passion for this language, which I initially discovered through music.
I'm a lover of Brazilian music, but that's another story....
I am excited to share my knowledge and help other women learn French, creating a supportive and learning community.
